Jim was born and raised in the Omaha, Nebraska area, graduating from Plattsmouth High School and from Wayne State College, Wayne, Nebraska with honors. He has been working in the healthcare industry since 1988. Jim and his family moved to McCook in early August of 2000 and began working as Chief Financial Officer at Community Hospital. In July of 2006, Jim became the President and Chief Executive Officer for Community Hospital. In 2008 Jim completed his Masters in Healthcare Administration through Bellevue University. Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his kids, Sydney and Nathan, golfing and college football - especially Husker football.

As the President & Chief Executive Officer, Jim has the primary responsibility for administration, planning, and operations of the Hospital, including the Community Hospital Health Foundation, satellite clinics and related corporations.
