Troy Bruntz, Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer, joined Community Hospital’s staff on June 30, 2003.

In addition to overseeing the hospital’s operating and capital expenditure budgets and day-to-day financial results, Bruntz oversees the hospital’s general accounting, financial administration, patient business services, and financial and statistical reporting.  Bruntz also serves on Community Hospital’s five-member senior management team, the Administrative Council.

He supervises the following departments:

• Accounting
• Business office
• Information systems
• Medical Records
• Plant Engineering
• Materials Management
• Dietary

Troy was an auditor for five years with KPMG LLP, an international public accounting firm in Lincoln, since 1998. His healthcare experience included a leadership role on the audit of the State of Nebraska Medicaid program as well as working with various community and not-for-profit organizations.

From 1996-1998, he was a staff accountant for TBA, Inc., a 23-bed intermediate care facility for the mentally retarded.

Troy grew up in Hastings. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1998. He is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.

He and his wife, Tammie, have three children, Devonn, Spenser and Trenten. Troy enjoys golf and their family keeps busy with youth sports and camping.
