Community Hospital is dedicated to a mission of
providing more health care services and greater patient
convenience throughout our region. The new Community
Hospital Outpatient Services center is the first to
bring occupational and massage therapy, medical
nutrition therapy, diabetes education, and medication
consultation to Indianola and the surrounding area.
Our thoroughly
trained team of therapists, pharmacists, dietitian and
diabetic educator offer a wide-range of services - like
treating arthritis and stroke, muscle aches, diabetes
management, helping you understand your medications, and
more.
Occupational
Therapy:

Assisting with
redevelopment of hand function following injury or
arthritis, retraining in completing daily tasks
following illness or injury, working with all ages on
developmental delays.

treatment of hand dysfunctions

treatment of dysfunction related to age changes

Massage
Therapy:

Treat your aches
and pains from injuries, joint replacements, headaches,
and more, with gentle, therapeutic and relaxing massage
provided by our new licensed massage therapist.

Therapy Massage $40 (one hour)

Swedish
massage $40 (one hour) or $25 (30 minutes)

Chair Massage
$15 (15 minutes)
Medical
Nutrition Therapy Services:

It's no surprise
that diet plays an important role in our health and
well-being. Our registered dietitian provides one-on-one
outpatient nutrition counseling for anyone wanting to
make lifestyle changes that facilitate weight management
or control medical conditions.
Our dietitian is here to
help guide you with healthy choices, answer your
questions, and be an accountability partner.
A physician's
referral is necessary for this service.
Diabetic
Education:

Newly diagnosed with diabetes or
feeling you need an update of your diabetes knowledge
base? Good news!
Diabetic education
will be provided in Indianola at the Community Hospital
Outpatient Services center. Monica Wacker RN, Certified
Diabetic Educator, is available to provide this service.
A physician's
referral is required.
Medication
Therapy Management:

Our pharmacists
encourage you to come speak with them concerning any
medication related questions and problems.
They will be happy
to sit down with you and provide a thorough review of
your medication list and make any necessary
recommendations, which could include how best to take
your medicine(s) to maximize their benefit or perhaps
provide suggestions that would help you avoid potential
side effects.
We may also be
able to discuss alternative therapies with your
physician at your request. Our pharmacists can also
advise you on any questions you may have related to
over-the-counter or herbal treatments and if they feel
it is warranted, will recommended a follow-up with your
primary care provider.
Medicare Part D
plans:
Another service
our pharmacists are excited about offering is assistance
with those struggling with Medicare Part D prescription
plans. We can help clear up some of the confusion and
help you set up the plan which is best for you. |
