Community Hospital honored its auxiliary, home health and hospice, board of directors and foundation volunteers recently at a luncheon with the theme, “Volunteers Are Music to Our Ears.”

Walt Sehnert, emceed the event and shared volunteer memories of St. Catherine’s Hospital. Words of appreciation were shared by Gary Bieganski, Community Hospital President. Susan Harris-Broomfield and Bieganski presented 2005 auxiliary awards.

The highlight of the luncheon was a special presentation honoring Anne Morse for her more than 14,456 hours of volunteerism to Community Hospital. A bust of her in plaster stage, made by commissioned artist, Sondra Johnson, was unveiled in her honor. In 2006, the first annual Anne Morse Volunteer of the Year will be selected and recognized.

Entertainment was provided by the piano quartet of Sheryl Havens, Jean Sehnert, Carl Philo and Don Harpst.
