Community Hospital President, Gary Bieganski, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Ulrich to Senior Vice President, with the title of Senior Vice President Finance & Support.

“This advancement is in recognition of Jim’s added responsibilities, which include working closely with administrative council, medical staff and myself on major medical and administrative responsibilities,” Bieganski said. “It is also in accordance with the hospital’s strategic plan and the engaging work that will be addressed in future senior management responsibilities.

Jim will be sharing more of the day-to-day responsibilities with Gary, which will enable Gary to devote more time to cultivate major donors and help raise funds for the rehabilitation center project, as well as begin building preparations.

Jim joined Community Hospital in June 2000 as Chief Financial Officer and advanced to Vice President Finance and Support in August 2002.

“It has been a pleasure and most enjoyable to work with Jim as a member of the senior management team known as the Administrative council at Community Hospital,” Bieganski said. “Since 2000, when he joined us, Jim has continued to pursue a quest for knowledge of Community Hospital’s operations and health care administration. He has stepped forward to take on additional and other important tasks and has provided administrative leadership in those areas.”

Jim and his wife, Kandace, have two children, Nathan and Sydney. He was born and raised in the Omaha area, graduating from Plattsmouth High School and from Wayne State College, Wayne, Nebraska. He has been working in the healthcare industry since 1988.

Jim is also involved in a number of state and community service groups including:

• President of the Nebraska Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association
• Member of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Nebraska Medicare Provider Advisory Group
• Member of the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
• Chairman of the Bellevue University Executive Council for McCook and North Platte
• Treasurer of the McCook Knights of Columbus Council
• Member of the St. Patrick’s Church Finance Committee
• Member of the McCook Chapter of Rotary International
