55PLUS members and the public are invited to a free educational program, “Joint Replacement” sponsored by Community Hospital, on Tuesday, November 10 at 6 p.m. in Community Hospital’s Meadowlark Conference Rooms in McCook. Please use the main entrance. Appetizers will be served.
The program will be presented by Michael McCarty, Orthopedic Surgeon. He will discuss:
•Advances in minimally invasive hip/knee replacement
•Unicameral (partial) knee replacement
•Non-surgical treatment for hip/knee arthritis
Michael McCarty, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic surgeon associated with Central Nebraska Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Grand Island. He sees patients weekly at Community Hospital’s Medical Specialists Center. He also performs surgeries at Community Hospital—including joint replacements.
Reservations are necessary for this free program by calling the 55PLUS Info Line at 308-344-8255 by Sunday, November 8. After the recording, be prepared to state your name, phone number and the number of people attending. By doing so, you are automatically registered. Seating is limited.
55PLUS is a community service program for everyone 55 years and up provided by Community Hospital of McCook in conjunction with BryanLGH Medical Center in Lincoln. It costs nothing to join and there are no fees or dues. The program offers a comprehensive package of health-related services designed to benefit members in accessing medical care and continuing their independence and good health. Some of the benefits include educational seminars, social functions, free guest meals while in the hospital, discounts from local businesses, and health newsletters. To become a member, call the Info Line at 308-344-8255 to request an application. Non-members are welcome to register for and attend seminars as a trial. 55PLUS applications will be available at each seminar. |
