A gardening seminar, “Stop and Smell the Flowers,” is
scheduled for 55PLUS members on Tuesday, April 29 at the Common Scents Green
house south of Barnett Park on Hwy. 83. Three different seminars will be held
at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.
55PLUS members are asked to BYOC (Bring Your Own Container).
Community Hospital will provide one flower, and the Common Scents staff will
assist attendees in choosing additional flowers to fill the container. The
staff will provide education about different types of flowers and plants and
choosing the right ones for sunny and shady locations. Attendees will be
standing at worktables for the hour-long seminar.
Andrea Wunibald, Occupational Therapist, will also discuss
joint and muscle protection techniques to make gardening more comfortable, safe
and fun. Refreshments will be served.
55PLUS
