Beginning Saturday, June
21, Community Hospital will begin locking the main hospital entrance at 8:30
p.m. following visiting hours, according to Dari Olson, Community Hospital
Safety Director. Anyone needing to enter the hospital after 8:30 p.m. should go
to the Emergency Room entrance. In the past, the front doors were locked at 11
p.m.
To further enhance hospital
safety, all side doors at Community Hospital will be locked throughout the
weekends and also on weekdays at 6 p.m., Olson said. Visitors should always
enter at the main entrance until 8:30 p.m. or the emergency room entrance.
“These changes have been
made to enhance patient, visitor and employee safety at Community Hospital,”
Olson said. “Since September 11, we have been diligent in strengthening both
our hospital security and disaster readiness.”
