REHABILITATION SERVICES

Community Hospital's rehabilitation departments evaluate and offer therapies for patients who have health problems resulting form injury or disease. These include:

Speech Therapy
Our speech therapy department provides a variety of services to both adults and children with speech and swallowing disorders, including those which result from strokes or Parkinson's disease.

Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapy department works with individuals of all ages who have been limited by a physical injury, impairment or illness, with the goal of improving or restoring the individual's daily living skills, play skills, and leisure capacities.

Physical Therapy
The physical therapy department at Community Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient treatment on a daily basis.  A variety of services are provided including general and sports orthopedics, aquatic therapy, and specialized women's services.

Cardiopulmonary Therapy
The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation center provides valuable services to patients with heart/coronary
disease and/or chronic, debilitating lung disease.  Specially trained cardio/pulmonary rehab nurses and respiratory therapists staff the department.  Physicians specializing in cardiac care visit Community Hospital on a frequent basis.  Also included in the program are individualized evaluations, educational classes, and a personalized exercise agenda.

Respiratory Therapy
Our respiratory care department offers a broad range of therapeutic techniques, including chest physiotherapy, aerosol delivery, CPAP, and adult ventilatory management.

Massage Therapy
Outpatient therapeutic and relaxing massage is provided by our licensed massage therapist at our Rehabilitation Center.

Neuromuscular Therapy  A series of treatments customized for the athletic and non-athletic; for a specific muscle group experiencing symptoms of pain such as numbness, tingling, sharpness, or overall chronic pain.

Swedish Massage  Flowing relaxation to the muscles, very calming, soothing, revitalizing and refreshing.

Chair Massage Rejuvenate your day with this shorter version of the Swedish massage.

Complimentary Massage To make hospital stays more pleasant, a complimentary massage is offered to patients and their families.
