Victor Stava, PA-C joined the McCook Clinic in September, 2007 after graduating from the two-year physician assistant program at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colo. in August. For twelve years, Victor served as a paramedic/firefighter in cities such as Lincoln, Rapid City, S.D. and Denver, Colo. The 24-hour shifts taking him away from his family and the desire to offer more care for a patient beyond the emergency room door, brought him to PA school in 2005. During his service as a paramedic/firefighter in Lincoln from 2001 to 2005, he was awarded 11 Phoenix awards. The Phoenix award represents a successful cardiac resuscitation of which the patient was revived and eventually was discharged from the hospital alive and well. |
