Radiology Equipment Grant Gives Doctors a Longer View

March 22, 2023

Community Hospital Health Foundation’s Board of Directors recently granted $5,000 toward the purchase of new radiology equipment allowing orthopedic and spine specialists to see long leg and full spine images for effective and efficient treatment.

The Mobile Overlap Trans-Former DR Panel Grid Cabinet lets the radiology technician capture full spine or hip-to-ankle images. The system also allows the three separate images to be stitched together using the stitching software, which was also part of the purchase.

“The Clear Advantage Mobile Stitching Stand is a critical tool for long leg and full spine imaging, as it keeps the patient immobile during multiple or single exposures,” said Jesse Juenemann, Director of Radiology. “After the stitching is complete providers are able to see long anatomy such as a spine or hip-to-ankle all together.” The full length picture provides a better radiology assessment for healthcare providers, thus improving overall quality of care and patient outcomes.

Jessica Bortner, Executive Director, expressed, “Community Hospital Health Foundation is thankful for our donors who provide funding for state-of-the-art equipment such as this for our Medical Specialists Center and our patients.”
